Edwin Newbury Pocket Watch
Edwin Newbury was born in Mansfield and served his apprenticeship in Hartford. He opened a shop as a silversmith sometime after 1822 and is listed in the 1850 U S Federal Census for Brooklyn, Connecticut with the occupation of spectacle manufacturer.

Edwin Newbury Movement
Full plate lever fusee movement (movement only), serial number 14547, with two arm bimetallic compensating balance, stop feature and Liverpool jeweling. Likely manufactured in the late 1840's to 1855. Its case, likely made of gold, is missing and was most likely scrapped for cash sometime in the last 150 years
